Final Cut Pro Tip #034 – Apply an effect to just a portion of a clip
If you have ever needed to apply an effect to just a portion of a clip in FCP, you can use the range select tool to do so (ggg). Simply drag over the portion of the clip that you want to effect and apply whatever effect you want. You will notice that only the frames selected will be effected.
