Final Cut Pro Tip #026 – Quickly get to the Trim Window
Over the years I found that I use the “trim” feature a lot less when using Final Cut Pro versus Avid. I think the reason is that you are more quickly able to adjust an edit in FCP right there on the timeline. However, there are times when the trim window is a must, to make those precise edits.
To quickly get to the trim window simply double click on the edit point in the timeline, and the trim window should appear. You can also right-click the edit point and select trim from the contextual menu.
