EditShare – How you can forget about Fibre and still be happy

The recent introduction of new affordable shared storage technologies is making it much easier to integrate your compositing and editing systems; paving the way for faster productions with maximum signal quality. These new solutions have many broadcasters and post-production professionals trending away from expensive Fibre network technology to more cost effective Gigabit Ethernet networks – simplifying media sharing and workflows and maximizing budget resources.
Eric’s presentation demonstrates the EditShare technology and discusses real-world scenarios in which broadcasters and post facilities have made the switch from Fibre to Ethernet and are happy they have done so.
The Ins and Outs of Boris Red 4

The result of a 2 year development effort, Boris Red 4.0 is a significant product release from the gang at Boris FX. The new version delivers superior image processing technology, a slew of must-have image treatment tools and a newly designed user interface optimized for effects creation workflow. Other goodies include 16-bit support, a new paint engine with cool rollers and brushes, motion path, motion key … too many features to put in one paragraph.

Eric Gardner, Senior Product Specialist and Channel Manager Eric most recently served as a Product Support Specialist for Mission Service Supply, a leading Avid reseller in the Mid-South United States. In over 6 years at Mission Service Supply, Eric worked as a sales consultant, demo artist, and technical support representative. As an Avid Certified Support Representative, Eric built and installed numerous multi-system Avid and Unity systems and provided hands-on support to Mission Service Supply’s clients. In addition, Eric provided numerous hours of hands-on training in Avid editing, DVD authoring, Boris effects creation, and many other facets of multimedia creation.
