It’s hard to imagine Apple missing the chance to advertise during the Supper Bowl this year, but they gave it a go at the Academy Awards. The first iPhone commercial, more of a teaser really, was aired several times throughout the evening.
The ad creatively cut between various movies of people answering the phone, saying “hello”. Interestingly the ad made no mention of the name iPhone. And stated that the phone would be available in June as planed.
