Final Cut Pro Tip #033 – Set Default Transition
If you have ever lost your default transition, it can be frustrating to restore since it is not necessarily an everyday task. This one got me the other day, so I thought it was worth a mention.
To set the default transition, simply go the the effects tab in the browser window. Select the transition that you want to use as the default. Right click (you can also go to the effects menu) and select set default transition. You will notice that this change is reflected in the effects menu and the default transition is underlined in the browser window. This also works for audio transitions, but not effects (audio or video).
