KONA 4.0 Software Released Supports Final Cut Studio 2

With several reports of Final Cut Studio 2 shipping early, AJA has stepped up and released a brand new version of software for its line of professional video capture cards. Version 4.0 is specially designed for Final Cut Pro 6, supporting the new easy setups.

New Features

  • Support added for Apple’s Final Cut Studio 2 (KONA LS, KONA LH, KONA 3, and KONA 2)
  • Support added for Apple’s ProRes codec in Final Cut Studio 2 (KONA LS, KONA LH, KONA 3, and KONA 2)
  • KONA’s timecode overlay can now display Final Cut Pro’s timecode output (not supported in all formats)

Improvements and Fixes

  • Improved accuracy of Edit to Tape in Final Cut Pro (requires Final Cut Studio 2). Due to these changes, we suggest that you perform a few test edits in Final Cut Studio 2 in order to verify that the playback offset works correctly in your system.

If you are a Kona user, you can download this new version at AJA’s website.
